TO THE GLORY
OF GOD'S
HEALING POWER

Dearly Beloved of God

Jesus said,
"Rise, take up your bed and walk."

"Your sins are forgiven."

I have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to place in this third book, testimonies sent to me, as many people have acknowledged being healed, receiving miracles, and being delivered by God the Father, in the Name of Jesus, and by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will encourage and edify your spirit, and encourage your faith to receive all of the promises of God, given unto all who believe in His Name, for His Name, Jesus, is above every other name.

Jesus said,
"He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives me receives Him Who sent Me.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
And whoever gives one of these little ones a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."

I was at a Healing meeting at the Paradise Assembly of God Church, where Pastor Lorraine Isbister was ministering, by the power of the Holy Spirit. After the preaching of the Word, I saw signs and wonders taking place, of the evidence of Christ's mighty healing power, by the Holy Spirit.

People were rejoicing, as they came back to their seats, healed and having received immediately. I went forward for prayer, and the Lord revealed to Pastor Lorraine, by a Word of Knowledge, to pray for my pancreas.

This was a miracle of God, as Pastor Lorraine did not know that my family had a history of sugar diabetes, and that I had suffered from low blood sugar. I was healed there and then.
To God be the Glory!

After years of constant pain and shortness of breath, I went to my doctor. He sent me to a specialist, who told me I would have to have a heart by-pass done. I had to have further tests, including an angiogram, and I felt awful physically. Spiritually, I was prepared for whatever was to eventuate.

Two cardiograms were done and then I went to Pastor Lorraine for prayer. I had a further angiogram, which took half an hour longer than they normally do.

I know why - because they found my heart was healed, Praise the Lord! No coronary! No by-pass! Since then, praise the Lord, I have had no shortness of breath, no pain, strength has returned to my legs and all weakness has left me.

Before prayer, I was so weak I could not even hold a book. The pain between my shoulder blades has gone!

I thank you from the bottom of my healthy heart, for the way you ministered to me in the love of Jesus!

394. COME SAYS THE SPIRIT

During a visit to England approximately 7 years ago, I met a lady over supper at a friend's house, and the next day I flew home to Australia. It was about this time that the music tape, "Arise, Be Healed," was released.

God asked me to send a tape to the lady I had met in England - I hardly knew her! Anyway, after a couple of weeks of stewing over whether or not to send it, I finally sent her the tape.

About 6 months later, I received a beautiful letter from her. I didn't know, but God certainly did.

She was a very sick lady - her marriage was almost on the rocks but, through the music tape, she received physical healing, emotional healing, spiritual healing and, as a result of all these healings, her marriage was healed and her family life with her husband and two sons was completely restored. Now, 7 years later, one of her sons is going to a Bible College and training to be a Pastor. Isn't God good!

If He asks you to do something for Him, do it quickly - someone's life might depend on it.

393. THE WIND BLOWS

Pastor Lorraine, I went to your "Hosanna" Healing Service.

At that time I was having a lot of trouble with my eyes, due to diabetes. I had been having laser treatment at the Flinders Medical Centre, sometimes twice a week, for the previous 2 years. One eye was blind, and the other had a cataract which had been removed, but was partially blind due to the bleeding.

You prayed for me. After prayer, I went to the specialist. He couldn't believe it.
Not only had my eyes stopped bleeding, but they were all clear and my sight has returned.

Praise God for you and your prayers.

Then my son, who lives in Port Augusta, told me that you were the one who prayed for me when I was dying of a heart attack.
So Glory to God!

One evening, I asked my son, Andrew, to light the gas BBQ. He turned on the gas, but had trouble lighting the match. By the time he'd lit the match, there was quite a bit of gas, and it exploded in his face.

Praise the Lord, his eyes were not touched, but his face and hair were singed. It gave him such a fright, as you can imagine. I laid him down and put cold, wet towels over his face. I told my daughter to 'phone our Pastor and others to pray and they did. His lips, nose, left cheek and ear were very sore. I had continued to pray, but it was still very burnt and sore.

When Pastor Lorraine Isbister came at 7:30 pm for a meeting, she prayed and the Lord released Andrew of all pain. All swelling and blisters went completely.

I thank and praise the Lord Jesus who is still doing miracles of healing today as He did nearly 2,000 years ago.

My daughter, Kerry, doesn't need to have her eye operated on now, because the lump on her eye has shrunk since Pastor Lorraine prayed for her. Also, the lump of cancer I had on my cervix has now gone.
The results from the biopsy came back saying there was no need for any laser treatment.

Praise the Lord!

For the greater part of my life, I had never been able to dance freely, without the nagging pain from the archways of my feet. The pain was excruciating every time I went up on my toes.

Pastor Lorraine prayed for me, and I received a beautiful touch from the Lord; the hereditary line was broken, and I am now able to dance to the glory of God, for as long as He wants me to. I am especially blessed to be able to join in Creative Ministries, without being in agony while trying to dance. I am totally healed!

385. ARMY OF THE LORD

I first attended the "Hosanna" Healing Service, after my wife had attended an earlier meeting and received healing for herself. On being asked to come forward, I mentioned that I had a dull headache most of the time.

I received the laying on of hands and prayers for this, and while it was revealed that my left leg was shorter than my right, this was also corrected. Praise the Lord!
I had made no mention of the fact that, as a young boy of 3 years of age, I had an illness of infantile paralysis, which left my left side always weaker than my right.

At a later Healing Service, I asked that my back muscles be strengthened as, I had a "severe lower back strain" from working at home in the garden. This required chiropractic treatment and walking with the aid of two walking sticks for the first two weeks, and then a regular visit to a chiropractor every six weeks for treatment.

I asked for prayer from Pastor Lorraine at "Hosanna", and received healing for my back muscles.

On the Thursday, I still had the usual appointment. I went along, and every movement made on me felt like a sledge hammer blow, and I came out feeling worse than when I went in. Praise the Lord! I was set free, and have not been back to a chiropractor since.

Approximately 2 years ago, I was in terrible pain around my kidney area. It became so bad that a friend (now my husband) had to drive me to the hospital. They x-rayed me and found I had kidney stones. The doctors told me that surgery was necessary and, before I left the hospital, they gave me another appointment for a consultation and another x-ray.

When I got home, I rang Pastor Lorraine Isbister who came over, laid hands on me and prayed. I knew I was healed, and that it was Jesus who had healed me.

Two days later, I turned up for the appointment I had been given and was x-rayed once more. They found absolutely nothing. The doctors were dumbfounded and another x-ray was taken.
The same result - Nothing! I was totally healed! Hallelujah!

Jesus heals the same today as He did 2,000 years ago. He has never let me down. Thank you Lord Jesus for all that you've done for me.

Our twin boys were born three months premature. Stephen weighed 730 grams and David weighed 860 grams. Being so small, they had breathing difficulties, etc., and were found to have weaknesses in their lungs and eyes, hearing deficiencies, and Stephen had a hole in his heart.

When "Hosanna" Church started their Healing Services, Pastor Lorraine went to the Flinders Medical Centre and prayed for them both. They responded immediately, every week looking stronger than the week before.
Both David and Stephen were dedicated to God at "Hosanna". Last week we took them back to the hospital for a checkup, and they were found to be completely healed.

This is my testimony of how the Lord healed me through the wonderful ministry of healing in the Name of Jesus. Praise the Lord for He is the Living Bread, the Free Gift of Living Water that He gives to us so abundantly, if we only ask in Jesus' Name.

I had been ill for some time, and was due to go in for an operation. The symptoms of my illness were constant diarrhoea, vomiting, severe stomach pains, loss of appetite and weight, and a tired, crashed out feeling. This could last up to a week at a time. The doctors put it down to menopause - maybe some of it was - but I had my doubts.

I went along to "Hosanna" on a Sunday night and went forward for prayer. Pastor Lorraine prayed for me and told me that I had blocked intestines in the lower or upper bowel region. I told her that the doctors were to do some tests, on both my bowel and stomach, where they would use cameras to investigate, as the specialist at the Queen Elizabeth hospital was not impressed by the diagnosis of it being menopause.

Four days after Pastor Lorraine prayed for me, something really weird passed through my bowel. On the fifth day it happened again. My local doctor was amazed and had no idea what it was. I still felt ill for just over a week after that happened, so I went into hospital for tests. The tests were unpleasant, but did not bother me.

After the second colonoscopy was finished, the doctor came to my ward to speak with me. He was very surprised and told me they found nothing except a very healthy body inside my bowel and stomach, not of a 49 year old, but of someone very young. Another doctor had been present at the tests and said he had not seen that in anyone my age before.

Since I have been home, the diarrhoea, vomiting and pains have all ceased. I have put back on the weight and feel fine. I know I was healed that night - I have no doubts at all!

I thank you, Jesus, and ask you to bless Pastor Lorraine's ministry, as you have so richly given to her.

For many years, I had been partially deaf in both ears, wearing two hearing aids for approximately 7 years.
After prayer, the Lord has healed me to such an extent that I no longer need to wear the aids.

All praise, thanks and glory to the Lord.

Would you kindly accept my sincere Christian thanks for your prayers and expression of get well wishes, etc., during my recent illness and corrective surgery at Lyell McEwin hospital.

It was certainly exciting to acknowledge, in reality, that our God is a Living, Miracle Working God, who can perform miracle healing wonders, as I have just experienced.

I had operations on my cancerous right kidney, necessitating complete removal. I had the miraculous healing of my cancerous left kidney that revealed it was in perfect condition, not requiring surgery, with the exception of a benign cyst of no consequence. I am pleased to be able to serve God by conveying news of testimony to this miracle healing of the left kidney, to all persons with receptive ears.

I would desire to thank you, Pastors Colin and Lorraine Isbister and the assembly of "Hosanna", for all your prayers, Christian love, support and concern, which were most uplifting to my spirit during my time of illness and convalescence periods. Prior to and whilst I was hospitalised, I believed that God, by His healing power, was evident in my spirit.
My body was being restored, and great peace and comfort were being ministered through Bible Scriptures:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths."

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

I was healed when Pastor Lorraine was preaching at Elizabeth. I had a prolapse and the specialist had been treating me for a long period of time with hormones. He said I would eventually need to have it stitched back. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. He said it would be difficult to stitch, as I'd had it done twice before.

I went to Elizabeth and I was healed that night.

I kept my next appointment with the doctor, to confirm that I was healed. After I told him I was a born again Christian, he said that he didn't believe in that sort of thing, but had to admit that I was much, much better.
I knew by now I felt I was healed. Thank you, Lord!

I too would like to bear witness to the wonderful healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. 29 years ago I suffered a whiplash neck and broken jaw, but I didn't bother seeking medical help. A chiropractor told me later that it had calcified and, of course, I suffered discomfort and pain, but still did nothing about it.

Through the anointed ministry of Pastor Lorraine Isbister, I was called to be healed by the Word of Knowledge the Bible speaks of. Pastor Lorraine laid hands on my neck and the higher part of my spine. It began to crack back into place and I was healed immediately, free of the crunching of bones in my neck and around my spine and rib cage area.

I truly thank our blessed Lord and His servant for divine love, and the miracle working power in His gifts of the Holy Spirit.

For years, I was unable to have a child. I was so desperate, I pleaded with God that, within the month, He would answer my prayer. Several Christians reassured me that God has given man the knowledge and skill to develop medical treatments but, when finally, the doctor decided it was time to try fertility drugs, I sensed a big, red, stop light. I was not to take them.

The Lord gave me a verse -
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret when men succeed in their ways."
Psalm 37:7 NIV

It was a real battle. Things had been a bit dry spiritually since the beginning of that year and I needed some encouragement, fast. We had transferred by choice to a high school in South Australia's Riverland and, even though I knew God was in control and I strove to be obedient, I had been muddling along without any fellowship from real Christians, except for the odd occasions when we got back to Adelaide.

Well, God, you've worked it all out beautifully, but what about my baby and what about a Church? I had been searching for a place to worship, but it wasn't until the March that I was led very definitely to the fellowship of the Riverland AOG in Berri, a neighbouring town.

Suddenly, I was surrounded by loving, understanding people on fire for the Lord, Holy Spirit filled, and ready to offer encouragement and support whenever it was needed, and at a time when I was going to need it most. Well! Within a week, our Church began publicity for a visit from a dynamic, female speaker from Adelaide.

Several people asked if I would be able to make it to the ladies seminar on the Saturday afternoon.
No, I had to play netball.
I didn't give it another thought really, until the Friday night, when an advertisement came over our local TV channel. "Lorraine Isbister has a unique healing ministry."
I pricked up my ears. This had to be God's answer to my prayer. I determined to be at that seminar for as long as possible. So I went along in my netball uniform, believing with all my heart, that something special would happen for me at that meeting.

Lorraine arrived a little late, having had trouble locating our Church. "Lord," I worried, "I've only got until 2:45 pm." It was already 2 pm. But He was in control. Lorraine wasted little time getting into her message, stressing the importance of being guided entirely by the Holy Spirit. Then, with about 15 minutes to spare, she finished speaking and began to explain her special gift of Knowledge and Healing, an entirely God given ability, where she is but the instrument of the Holy Spirit's power.

She began to describe various physical and emotional hurts among the ladies in the congregation, as the Lord revealed them to her. She didn't know any of us from a bar of soap and yet one by one, women responded in awe as she described their individual problems so accurately. Then came mine, the only gynaecological one in a whole group of women.

No-one in our Church had known the exact problem until then.
She described exactly my cyst, an ovarian cyst on the right side which keeps recurring, clogging up the ovary, not allowing it to work and causing problems with fertility.

Hallelujah! I burst into tears.

The Lord was ready to deal with my problem. I went forward for prayer at Lorraine's invitation. She placed her hand on my right side and prayed, commanding that I be healed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Bang! It was as though a mighty wind had hit me.
I fell to the floor and was later told I had been slain in the Spirit. I'd never heard of it before. I lay there sobbing, knowing, beyond any shadow of doubt, that I had been healed.

Well, that was just over 12 months ago. On 1 May, we had a beautiful baby boy! His birth was wonderfully straight forward, although the midwife was highly amused at my hand outstretched heavenward, through several hours of contractions. He arrived without so much as a whimper, just a slightly bewildered expression, weighed 7 lb 14 oz and we named him Shane Allen.

Shane has the same meaning as John, "Given by God."

As I write, my little miracle is sucking his fists and kicking vigorously on the floor. He is so full of life, so typically a little boy, already dishing out his share of mischief and doing his best to keep me from anything I try to do. But, that's the joy of motherhood, to be so needed and, as I see his little clothes flapping on the line, or inhale that delicious baby smell in his room, tears of thankfulness well up in my eyes.
Thank you, thank you, Lord, for our precious little miracle and for the spiritual healing and maturing you have begun in my life. We, as a family, have so much to look forward to.
